I want to quit smoking and I-ve used the patch before but it was the Equate brand which did not stick to my arm very well causing me more stress. I need to know where I can get coupons or vouchers for Nicoderm CQ for all the steps. I-m more than ready to quit I just can-t seem to save enough money for the patches. The cigarettes I smoke are the cheapest I can find and it would take two months worth of buying cigarettes to afford the patches. If it were that easy I wouldn-t be asking. Nicoderm is the best way to do it but I don-t know how to make it affordable for my husband and I to quit together. We-ve been smoking for about 3 years which isn-t bad but I-m up to a pack a day and honestly I-ve never been a smoker until I hit 30. I-m getting fed up with ashtrays, smelling gross and having yellow teeth. Can anyone help me?I smoked for 14 years before I quit. I was successful when I slowly lowered the number of cigarettes I smoked per day. Set a date to quit and then each day smoke one less cigarette as your date nears.
By the time my quit date came I was only smoking one or two cigarettes a day, and so it wasn-t a big deal to quit then. --The object is to slowly lower the levels of nicotine in your body to reduce cravings.
Try to make the first cigarettes you cut out be the ones you have after dinner, or other trigger times. Basically you have to make a new habit of not smoking.
It took you x amont of years to form this smoking habit, so it will take x amount of days (approx 5 weeks) to form the new habit of not smoking anymore.just stop. . quitting comes from deep within,
patches are just a crutch, they just give you permission to fail. You take charge and you do it
is it easy, NO it is not, good luckIf your actually serious about stopping smoking, first I would cut down one cigarette every week, smoke ten on week one, smoke 9 on week two, and so on and so forth. Its hard but you have to believe in yourself. do that for however many weeks you think you can hold out. this is more of a money saver then a quit-smoking result. next thing you know, instead of spending 120$ a month you-ll be down to 100$ a month. and just keep reducing it! I would save that money for the patch, pill, whatever! your doctor perscribes. its expensive- but wouldnt you rather live another 5-7 years? What is the most effective way to stop smoking? -

As soon as the clock hits 12, I plan to stop smoking. It may be permanently, it may not be, but anything, whether it be cigarette or pot, will be cut out for the foreseeable future and I was wondering how I can successfully do so without cheating. From what I-ve heard, some people just have to get through the first day, and then they-re fine, but it varies from person to person.
This past Monday I didn-t have anything to smoke for over 15 hours, and I felt fine. No irritation, anger, or anything, but I-m worried about how gruesome it may be to go longer than that without a smoke. I just mainly want to prove to myself I have the willpower to quit.
Not to mention, I-ve been smoking for less than a year, so if I do quit, then any damage I-ve done to my lungs may heal. Honestly, I-m not sure if I-ll start smoking again, I-m not sure if I will, but it-s not a choice I regret.put the butts in a bottle of tea and every time u have a craving take a deep breath of the tea.I-ve read that chewing gum really helps. Also, just try to distract yourself and stay around people. Try not to ever be alone, and if you are, distract yourself by eating, or watching television.if you want to prove you have the will power to quit dont use anything that will help. my dad did that and quit easily after 15 years so there isnt an excuse, just stop buying them. What yu really have to work on is the unconscious need to smoke. You have to be vigilant if yuo feel the need to automatically light upIf you really want to quit just don-t buy any more or -borrow- any from anyone. Simple as that!get rid of everything including ashtrays, lighters

way to go
i quit 13 months agoLess than a year? If you are half done even if you are just thinking about it. The earlier, the easier, as I believe.
Good job.
However, don-t try to find something abnormal in you after quitting. Just live your life out without cigarettes.I-ve tried just about every method there is out there and there is only one I can recommend - NLP! It eliminates the cravings.
Gum patches and all the other just did not cut it for me, not to mention cold turkey which was the hardest, I even tried the electric cig and it is just no match to the real thing.
