Ok, Here-s the deal. My boyfriend of 2 months is a really great and genuine guy. When we first started going out, he PROMISED me that he would stop smoking pot if I really didn-t like it. I expressed that it was his choice because I don-t like telling people what to do; he chose stop because he wanted me to be happy. On our 2 month anniversary (4/7/09) he said that he had kept from me that he smoked 2 times. We got into a HUGE argument and long story short, he told me he is gonna keep doing it because he likes it. Now yesterday, (4/10) he had told me he went to bed at 8:30 pm and mind you that is the time he usually does go to bed lol. Me and my best friend went to the diner in our town at 1 am where he lives as well and I saw him and his best friend sitting there high as anything. It-s really starting to get to me and break my heart. He told me the -Biggest- reason why he does it is because he doesn-t sleep well at night and the second reason is because he flat out likes it and then proceeded to tell me that he is not going to stop at all. What am I supposed to do? I love him so much and I have panic attacks just thinking about it. I don-t want to break up with him either. Help!your b/f has got to want to quit smoking it. you cant help others if they dont want itEither accept the fact that he smokes or break up with him. Those are really your only two options. You can not make or help someone stop smoking pot. They have to want to and he doesn-t, based on what he told you.you can-t force people to change, and you shouldn-t want to either. if you really love him, then deal with the fact that he likes to smoke weed. if you tell him that it doesn-t bother you, then that-ll end all of the deception. he didn-t tell you what he was really doing because he doesn-t want to disappoint you.and if him smoking pot REALLY bothers you that much, then maybe you should just break up with him, because forcing him to change where he obviously doesn-t want to is the real problem here.
