I cant stop smoking - the older I get the more I smoke? -
I have tried to give up a lot of times - its a real battle - anyone have the same problem and tried something that REALLY works?I-ve been trying for years. I started smoking when I was about 14 or 15 and I am 28 now. Last Thursday I had no cigs when I woke up. I decided then and there -I-m done, no more-. I broke down at a party Saturday night and had half of one but other then that I haven-t had one and I feel great. Pills and patches are all to make you think you don-t need to smoke, they usually don-t work. Cold turkey is the best way to do it. Google -what to expect when quitting smoking- and you will get a ton of info that will help you through the process. Good Luck!If you-d like some support feel free to email me, we can go through this together.I-ve tried just about every method there is out there and there is only one I can recommend - NLP! It eliminates the cravings.
Gum patches and all the other just did not cut it for me, not to mention cold turkey which was the hardest, I even tried the electric cig and it is just no match to the real thing.

it’s the one that got me off the cigs and smoke free for GOOD even without gaining weight! :)
Good luck kicking the habit!
J.I think the best way to quit would be to make yourself a program. Every week or two weeks start cutting down on cigarettes. For example, have 5 a day for 2 weeks.. then have 4 a day for 2 weeks. you cannot quit smoking just like that. Your brain has become used to you smoking because when you smoke your brain releases endorphins which make you happy while you-re smoking. By not smoking, your brain does not release endorphins which in turn makes you cranky and want to keep smoking. This is why you should take your time with it. There are many web sites that help with making the right plan and there are phone numbers you can call and people who can guide you to a smoke free life.
There is no short cut. Good luckOKAY I QUIT 5 MONTHS AGO. I TRIED SO HARD FOR YEARS. i BEEN SMOKING ON AND OFF SINCE AGE 10. I AM 19 NOW TINK OF HOW MANY YEARS IT TOOK ME~ COLD TURKEY IS THE EST BUT WILL POWER IS HARD IN THIS CASE WHAT I DID WAS CHANTEX IT IS AMAZING. NON-NARCOTICS JUST PILLS. I DID THAT FOR 2 WEEKS THEN QUIT AND WENT COLD TURKEY IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER! DO NOT HANG OUT WITH SMOKERS FOR AWHILE. IT TAKES 1 YEAR 4 CRAVINGS TO STOP. I STILL CRAVE BUT I USE A DIFFERENT METHOD: SUGAR FREE CANDY AND VIDEO GAMES. UR CHOICE! ITS ARD BUT SET YOUR MINE TO IT AND YOU-LL SUCCEED AND WILL BE UPSET AND REGRET IT AT THE BEGINING BUT VERY HAPPY LATER. I KNOW I AM ALTHO THE DEVIL COMES IN AND I REGRET IT SOMETTIMES. GO TO NA TOO AND GET ALL THE SUPPORT YOU CAN GET AND CALL HOT LINE WHEN CRAVING COME TO YOU.
GOOD-LUCK!!!I quit 10 years ago, and I found the best way to quit is complete cold turkey. I picked a day in advance and I just freakin quit that day. You have to decide that a longer life is more important than enjoying smoking now.
