Anyone Know the best way to stop smoking???? -

i really need to stop smoking and i havent any ideas on how to do it!! any one help?you have to convince yourself you have to stop, and when you-re ready simply just stop and live from day to day. gum and patches might make it easier, i just used bubble gum for about a month. i know someone who is now addicted to nicorettes cos they used them for too long. i stopped ten years ago and it was the best thing i have ever done. good luckI And my wife smoked 2 packs a day. It was out of hand, and ridiculous. I told my doc, and she R/X-d the new drug CHANTIX. It WORKS, NOT by adding nicotine , but on the receptors in the brain that say light up. ONLY a doc can tell f you-re a candidatefor it,but ASK, I-m smoke free for a year.

I found cold turkey the easiest, it actually only takes a couple of days to get over the physical nicotine addiction the rest is psychological.Gaffer tape and rope!
Or you could see your GP who would recommend the best method for you- but at the end of the day it comes down to good old will power and lots of it.Cold turkey.STOP IT COLD TURKEY.I quit using Chantix, you can get a perscription from your doctor. They also have a great support website.at first you have to set your mind that you really want to quit smoking you have to think what kind of diseases you can get,after that try to start eating candy or nuts during the time you want to smokeeverytime you crave a smoke drop down WHEREVER you are and do 25 pushups (even if you need to quit at 10 or whatever your limit) when you stand back up, you will be so exhausted from the physical strain, and disgustingly out of breath that the thought of smoking a cigarette will sound unappealing to you... eventually you will get into the fitness pattern so much that you will develop a healthy practise to replace the detremental one...theres different ways different people do things.

me i stop completly , as patches didn-t work for me.

first weeks is worst. first 3 days are BAD.. i just slept a LOT in the 3 days

so avoid stressful situations for a while, i wish i had, then i-d not be smoking again.chewing gum!A Yahoo search for -how to quit smoking- will tell you.i tried for years with patch-s never worked think its best to do it alone, i gave up january and allthough i still crave now and again it is easier to deal with. please give it a go it is the best thing ive ever done im so much fitter now.Strong willpower.I smoked for 16 years.Gave up heaps of times only for a couple of days.FINALLY wanted to give up.Patches for a week.Cold turkey after that.Havent smoked for three months now.Good luck.
