Anyone know N Easy way to stop smoking? -

have COPD, imperative i quit. any suggestions taken seriouslyThe Japanese have come up with an interesting solution which works for many smokers who want to quit - to suck on an ice block whenever you feel the urge to smoke. Although I myself don-t smoke, I think it-s worth a try. Carry ice blocks wherever you go in a cooler bag/box and suck on one whenever you want a cigarette.Chantix and Paxil are GENIUS I am a 3rd year Medical Student LMN-S method for quitting smoking is first class and If I may say so myself LMN has a Superb Doctor. Congrats and that is truely genius pharmacology Chantix and Paxil PERFECT combination for getting rid that habit. Excellent!

You have got to be kidding me right? There is no way to stop smoking that is going to be easy...none at all.
Yes, because you have COPD, it is imperative that you quit....but quitting now is not going to cure this illness...
I smoke, and when I think about quitting....I get scared...don-t you?
Have you tried cutting down first? Maybe cutting back on the AMOUNT of cigarettes that you smoke or cutting back on the content of nicotene...maybe smoking a lighter cigarette?
I would think it would be easier to do it this way rather than go cold turkey and put your body through all of those unnecessary changes...
After you cut back on the cigs, maybe you could use a patch or something like that to quit the rest of the way....good luck with your efforts...and good for you that you want to quit...dying will be a good waystop buying themI quit by starting an intense exercise program and changing my lifestyle. I also used CHANTIX for a month followed by Paxil for 2 months. I am now totally clean and have absolutely no interest in smoking. It also helps to ditch friends that smoke too. Congratulations on deciding to quit; you-ll live... longer. I smoked for 20 years.no easy way..sorry. you need to have most of all...will power!
try using an aid, such as chantix or wellbutrin. i used wellbutrin because chantix wasnt around. pick a quit date and stick with it. maybe a month out. ween yourself down, and by your quit date you should be maybe having one every day or other day. chew gum, or like me, i used sunflower seeds. have support, like family and people at work. tell them what you want to do, and have them try to talk you out of smoking. stay away from situtations that have before triggered your smoking. like going out to bars. i know its hard for somethings..like me..i loved to smoke after eating, while online or playing video games, or driving.Strong will is very important. My best wishes to you.You know, quitting was the easiest thing I-ve ever did. I quit over a thousand times!! There is NO easy way. Smokers relapse all the time. It-s been almost a month for me and I-ve been smoking for 10 years. Personally, I just got fed up with everything. It was affecting my health so much, I made it final in my mind that I was going to quit, and I did. And plus, using the patch helped me alot too, it eased lots of the withdrawal symptoms. And I started doing tons of new hobbies .. exercise, biking, piano, guitar. It-s great and still loving every moment of it.. ohh and sex .. soon.take up a new hobby. when i lived by the ocean i started snorkeling all the time, and quit for a month and a half without any patches, pills, etc.. golfing helps too, as long as i don-t have a bad round lol.sometimes doing an activity to get your mind off it is cool or even chew on straws...how about you dont buy anymore cigarettes and go to stores with them. chew a gum. play a game everyday..Throw the smokes away.

Suck on hard candy or chew gum. Sugarless is good.

Keep busy so you don-t think about it. Write your Christmas cards or go for a walk.

When you usually have one, like after a meal - get up right away and do the dishes or start folding laundry etc...

Good luck. I know it is a hard habit to shake. You will feel so much better after you are off the cigarettes for a few weeks.Honestly the easiest way I found to quit, is to go cold turkey. It sucks for the first couple days, but once you get passed 3 - 5 days, it gets waaaaaaaayyyyyy easier. Cutting back or saying -after this pack I-m done- never works.
