No matter how you quit smoking with or without any prescription drug expect to gain at least 7 lbs. even if you do not increase the amount of food you eat. That is because more oxygen gets into your body. Of course your appetite also increases. This is standard with just about everyone. It is just a matter of degree.
On the other hand when you smoked just think how bad off you were by your body being deprived of this much needed oxygen among other things of course. Now just get into the habit of eating sensibly and exercising daily and you will feel like a million bucks.My step-mom did and its a common effect with any stop smiking tool that you gain weight. You just need to be carfeul with what you eat and how often you eat. A way to curb this from happening is to add on fresh green veggie to your diet a day like a salad.
