I am concerned because I also smoke marijuana and hope that the Champix helps me stop that as well. I am wondering if anyone else out there has had experience in this area and could offer me an opinion? Thanks in advance.No, I haven-t, but I do know that Champix acts like nicotine in that it binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, which means essentially that it-s going to target the nicotine and not the THC. However, in doing so, it increases dopamine levels, which THC does as well (along with other pleasurable drugs), so in that respect, it may be a help.You may want to consider stopping one and then the other, it-s a lot to take on at once. Of the two, cigarettes are usually the harder to quit since they-re much more likely to be addictive.
