I bet this question is asked a lot on this site so sorry for repeat. Well I have been smoking for the last 2 years I am only 17 right now I now young but I do not think I am 100 percent addicted right now. I want to quit before i get there though I am pretty addicted though I seem to go threw a few a day and I want to quit. it dose relax me thought and kinda helps but i now they do a lot more damage then help. I now people can not quit just like that with this kinda habit but any one have ways to slowly but successfully start quitting?Hi, James!First off, congrats on your decision to want to quit smoking. You-re young, so you have that going for you! It-s helpful that you are quitting early. It gets harder the longer you keep smoking. I have 2 great recommendations that worked for me. I did both of these and have been cigarette free for 2 years and do not ever have cravings! It is so great, and I just want to share it with anyone who really wants to quit. You WILL stop smoking for good. It will change your life. You can get all the info here:

I tried everything (patch, gum, cold turkey, Wellbutrin, Chantix, etc.) in the past to quit and nothing worked as good as this. I recommend it to everyone!
Best of luck to you no matter which of the many available methods you decide to useThere are always nicorrette patches and gum and stuff like that, but at the age of 17 you should be able to do it.
Im 19 and have smoked on and off since I was 12 years old (shocking i know!) but finally quit not long ago.
I didnt use anything, I went cold turkey. The only thing I did do was ensure I had gum on me all the time (not nicorrette or anything, just normal gum) so that i was distracted... then the money i saved on ciggies gave me more and more incentive to continue not smoking. Then i treated myself to a night out with my girls with the money I saved.
All about willpower! Good Luck! You can do it haha. The longer you smoke, the harder it will be. 2 years is long enough to become addicted, but you won-t know until you try. Quitting cold turkey is the best way to go for young smokers.

Cold turkey is the safest way to go. controlling and tryin to push it to less ciggarettes you smoke every day gets really REALLY hard in the long run. 17 and smoked for two years aswell. but i just end up really drunk, high or f-ked on benzo when i try to quit :-what i did was get those peppermint sticks and everytime i got the urge to smoke i would just stick one of those in my mouth i knows its crazy but it worked
