Stopping smoking increasing fitness? -
i run 1.5miles in 10.30 best effort, and smoke 15 a day... if i quit, would i see an improvement? how long til my fitness levels increased?You-d see a vast improvement. Cold turkey probably a month or so later. Quitting gradually would yield gradual results. Your body takes a while to recover from bad habits. Also if you told how long you where smoking that-d help. As it would take longer for you to peak in your fitness increase. But the results would still be amazing if not moresoWhen i was running and quit smoking i noticed improvements within a couple weeks...you would be surprised how much of a difference quitting smoking makes when you are trying to get physically fit, and doing cardiovascular activites....you will be able to run longer and faster.Quitting smoking was the hardest thing i-ve ever done, but it made feel like a super hero when i saw the differences it made.
I walk up and down stairs all day long now, where as before I would avoid it because it would leave me breathless.
It-s gonna be an awful, awful two weeks but i highly recommend it.
Plus, think of the money you-ll save.you would see a difference after a short time. your body will go through the detox phase of getting the nicotine out of your system, and along with that is sometimes more mucus and stuff, but running can help get rid of some of it. (it does for me anyways- but not during allergy season)YOu should quit regardless. And yes you will see an improvement in stamina, along with your abilities elsewhere.
