I feel apathetic.

IS this normal?

any scientific reasons for this?Sorry can-t answer anything scientifically but i gave up smoking 4 months ago after twenty a day for nearly twenty years. YES your mind does feel numb. After realising that NRT was worse than cigarettes i slung my plastic cig out the van window and went cold turkey. After a few weeks the mood swings calmed down but i had a bad bout of depression which i have now put behind me. Most of the bad symptoms have now passed and i feel great. The main thing is stick with it you will feel better and will power is everything without it you have no chance..Your mind is trying to re-programme itself to get out of the habit you used to have.It will soon pass and you should be a happy non smoker, however if your doing it with will power you will failignore anyone who says if you do it with will power you-ll fail, i think it-s great if someone can give up without using any nicotine replacements. the numbness is probably nothing to worry about, your body will be getting used to not having the nicotine. it-s a drug and after using any drug you-ll get the withdrawl from it. good luck!
