Its been 26 hrs since I stopped smoking cigarettes. . .? -

So for the past 9 months of my life, I-ve been devoted to trying to quit smoking cigarettes. . . And the hundred times I-ve tried to quit, I was never successful. The first day of the times trying seemed to be like hell, and went on forever and ever. I did have a couple times when I went about 3 days and started over again, but those three days were agonizing. . . But for some reason, just yesterday I threw the half smoked pack of Dave-s Light out the window of my Mini-Van and actually been doing pretty well. Not as bad withdrawal symptoms like before, and had a couple interviews for jobs today, which were kind of iffy when they got to questions I didn-t know how to answer. Has anybody ever experienced this? All of a sudden smoking just stops and life seems to be re-opening its pages to you and the symptoms seem to hardly even be there. . . It could be a mind over matter situation, without even putting my mind to it. Been a smoker for 2 years and dipping on and off in between.Replace it with something better. God is giving you a window of opportunity to make a clean break. I-ll be praying for you.It-s very much a mind over matter thing if you want to quit something you can. I think most people have a problem with quitting because part of them still wants it. If that is the case they never do quit.I think that-s the way it has to be. If you want a cigarette, you-ll have a ******* cigarette! It doesn-t matter how -dangerous- and -disgusting- people say it is, you-re your own man/woman and you-ll do what you like! But if you just don-t feel like it... :D

The same thing happened to me late last year. I-d been doing a lot of exercise and training really hard almost every day, and it just never really occurred to me as I relaxed after a heavy session to grab some baccy and roll a fag. It wasn-t a permenant thing, but at least now I know I can quit if I want to ... it lasted damn near half a year.
