Smoking/asthma/skin? -

Smoking/asthma/skin? -

I started smoking about 4 months ago, and I have asthma. I keep trying to quit, but it only lasts for a few days. Anyhow, my skin keeps getting really dry and red and it feels really hot. And my throat hurts alot too. I was wondering if this skin problem might have anything to do with me being an asthmatic smoker? I think I-m finally motivated to start exersicing and stop smoking and try and get healthy.Smoking has been proven not only to cause cancer but will age the skin more quickly too. You definitely should quit cigarettes, especially with asthma. Have you ever had asthma whereas the air will not go in and what little air comes in wants to come out? That is what happens even more so with lung disease and it is fatal. Talk with your Dr. and be certain to talk about your smoking. You will never know when the asthma is going to come until it generally comes on quickly and can acclerate and even become deadly. Cigarette smoking as you know is a killer. The skin will wrinkle and age more quickly as I said earlier but about the healthy lifestyle you seem to want. is good. Take care and much luck with your motivation.well first of all you should not smoke anymore try chewing gum or doing something else. And if your skin is dry and you have red skin it may be from smoking and having asthma. If your throat hurts then maybe your just getting a cold but if it doesn-t go away then it might lead to a disease or an unknown disease. Try cough drops and drinking water but if this doesn-t work than it may be necessary to see a doctor. This may lead to death. And try looking on old cigarette carton and see the symptoms or side effects when smoking.Smoking can definitely effect your skin by restricting blood flowPlease stop smoking.... it-s so gross. And moisturize your skin. Just lotion on up and stop smoking. No, I don-t think either smoking or asthma cause dry skin.
