Is using over one nicotine patch at a time REALLY that risky? -

...im stopping smoking in the middle of a bad cold, due to the terrible coughing and build-up in my lungs, but i think stopping smoking in the mid stages of a cold might hurt,

Do you think doctors and pharmies are over-reacting when they assert that using more than one -as prescribed- is extremely detrimental?

I smoked about 40 a day and am using one 15mil patch and another half.

Truth pls.The concern is with nicotine poisoning and heart attacks. But if you were smoking 40 a day I-m guessing you have enough nicotine tolerance for two patches. If you get any of the symptoms of nicotine poisoning -- rapid pulse, faintness, nausea, etc. -- remove the patches.
