New plan to stop smoking? -
i hearrd this new 3 week programme has come out it coscts around £150 or something has anyone used it is it safe whats the name of it?I believe its called,We-ll Unload Your WalletThe smoke stop programmeIt would be foolish to give £150 away when at the end of the day...YOU are the one who will have to fight with yourself to stop smoking. If you are going to stop...it will always be up to you.Alla rubbish. In case one is determined to stop smoking one can quit in a day but purely, with a strong will power.Weak people speak of such programmes and what not. There is nothing impossible in this world. All it requires is a strong will power to overcome such bad habits. Why waste money in such programmes, cause you can never quit with this attitude. In case you have determination,go ahead quit smoking. After all it was you who took to smoking, then why solicit help of others to quit it.And also remember, quitting is only a mental state purely of psychological origin.Quitting wont kill you.Go ahead show your determination and quit it.You really must want to give up, I smoked 60/day made a decision and stopped 20 years without nowDon-t know what the 3 week programme for £150 is. Could be a rip off. Tell you what I am doing. I am on a course of Champix tablets(contains Varenicline) which is quite a new medication, introduced this year.these tablets taken one twice a day do two things. They act as an inhibitor on that part of the brain that has the craving to smoke and they also help to relieve withdrawal symptoms. Mind you you have to have your own determination or nothing will work. So far so good with me. These tablets can only be obtained on prescription from your G.P. or smoking clinic. They are safe, it would appear the only side effects are a feeling of nausea for half an hour or so after taking them and the possibility of an amount of sleep disturbance, nothing too serious. The course lasts 12 weeks and early clinical tests show that the number of successful clients ceasing smoking is higher than with any comparable medication, but probably with a maximum success rate of about 30%. The total cost to the N.H.S. is about £450 but of course you would only pay the standard prescription fee probably no more than £20 overall. Wish you luck in your attempt to give it up.Hi,
This worked for me...90% success rate - no patches, gum etc - can-t say fairer than that.
All the best.
