if someone is diagnosed with COPD and refuses to stop smoking are the going to die much quickereveryone dies sooner or later..Yes, my Mum has stage 4 COPD and didn-t want to stop smoking, but had to when she had to be put on oxygen at the nursing facility where she is now, she did stop smoking, but the damage is done. She keeps telling me she doesn-t have long to live...a few years if she is lucky.even if she stopped now....the damage is done. so sorry....perhaps you need to accept her fatal flaw - enjoy the time you have left. I-m sure she knows that she caused the copd - doesn-t need any surmons...just love - support.the short answer is yesIf not die sooner, they will suffer more.
