Stopping Smoking? -

I have recently been medically retired and am having a gard time trying to flash a smile. I want to feel better about myself.
I have started drinking a LOT and smoking twice as much as I used to. I feel the smoking is a precurser to drinking (winds me up) then need drink to relax. I have smoked for twenty four yrs and have only given up once using Allan Carr-s 1st edition paperback (apparently the other publications are not as good) I cannot find one, don-t even remember what it looks like, If anyone knows can you send me the link......? AND any advice you may have to help me out?

Our all natural nicotine patch will help you quit smoking in 15 days or less! http://Quit-Smoking.ze.cxI would say to go to ebay or amazon.com to look for the book again. You might be able to find it there. Talk to your doctor about Chantix. I have heard a lot of great things about it. My husband has started taking it and when he actually takes it - it works! But you have to keep up with it. I cannot give you any advice on how I quit b/c I quit the day I went into the hospital to give birth to my son. I was very adament on wanting to breastfeed, so I quit smoking. It has been almost 3 months and it is still the hardest thing I am currently doing. If you live in the UK, go to your GP and they will offer you comprehensive support to give up smoking.
It sounds like you don-t want to waste your freedom.
you could try 12 step for the drinking and you may find applying the principles to smoking also help.
Nicotine Patches can help with the cravings.
If you are a hardened addict a change of scenery or lifestyle can jolt a person into quitting if they really want to of course!)
Good luck finding a way to get healthy. I know it is hard.I have been using this alternative therapy call Emotional Freedom Technique which has helped me a lot. It-s very good at getting rid of all kinds of negative emotions and dealing with all kinds of issues quickly. It does sound crazy but does work. If you type smoking in to the search engine of emofree.com you should find some articles about EFT helping people who smoke.Firstly, Good Luck with stopping smoking, secondly, I stopped smokling in April of this year after about 17 years of smoking. I was smoking about 45 a day. I got patches off the doctor and joined a quit helpline but after just 2 weeks I felt strong enought to go it alone and stop using the patches too. I am now a non-smoker. I found it helped to avoid -smoking- stiuations as much as possible and also to avoid alcohol for a few weeks as I smoked more when I had a drink.
