There are many methods used to stop smoking such as pills, patches, gums, hypnosis, therapy or nicotine relief patches. Or just quit naturally, by eating something else you like (for example chocolate cake)

you seem like a very smart person. Your choice is excellent, smoking (i-ve heard this somewhere) takes off 2 minutes of your life. Imagine all the time taken away from being with your friends and family. If you stop smoking, you-ll be healthy.I have tried many times to stop smoking . . . . NOTHING WORKED. . . Now, I have been tobacco free for three years- - HOW? - --COMMIT LOZENGES - -The nicotine substitute worked best for me. .At first, it was very hard.. Use it as directed on the package. Also, try to avoid psychological triggers like People, places, and things (Like the drive to or from work), morning coffee. . Just change your routine a little.
Also, to tell yourself -I will NEVER smoke again - -goodbye Butts!- is unrealistic. . A little trick : Do it a Day At A Time--It-s much easier to say that you won-t smoke just for today, or just for the hour- - break it up into little segments if you have to- - -Then as time goes on, it gets easier- - -...The lozenes, while they have nicotine, don-t have the dangerous tars and byproducts of burning paper, tobacco that cause cancer and respiratory diseases.
Sometimes, if I am going through a -rough time-, and after 3 years, they DO HAPPEN, I will use a lozenge----still. . But it is ALWAYS better than smoking- -
It is an addiction--you are never cured, just in remission---for this instant... Good Luck..

Scribb.I can only tell you about my experience. I quit for a year, and then started again after a horrible emotional experience. I smoked for years, but I kept quitting. I would only buy one pack at a time, and then quit again. That went on and on until one time it worked. After I hadn-t had a cigarette for two weeks, I never wanted one again. Now I would just as soon put one in my ear as smoke it. I haven-t had a cigarette in 33 years. My technique was just to quit again and again and again and again . . .Depends on if your body and mind are addicted to just the nicotine or the nicotine - habit. For me it was both so I went with www.stopsmokingwithecigarettes.com Now I am slowly taking my body off the nicotine without any of the with drawls. I don-t have to worry about any of the negative side effects because there aren-t any. (no second hand smoke, no food replacement.) I also no longer have to worry about -where- I can have my next smoke because I use it when ever where ever I want. Cost is 1/2 the price of a pack of cigarettes. It-s amazingly easy to get to the next lower cartridge.I quit, but i am now around someone who doesnt smoke, so that helps. It is hard, but just quit COLD TURKEY. I know how you feel, it is hard.cold turkey - a lot of will power - u have to be prepared for the processthink of all that it is doing to your body, think of all that it is destroying,Quit lol
(sorry.. it was too easy.. I just had to do it)Speak to your doctor
