Please dont listen to these people who say... - DONT take this because I heard..blah, blah-. I took this medication and after 1 week I was losing desire to smoke and after 2 weeks I stopped completely. And that was 5 months ago. People are quick to throw out judgment when they hear negative feedback from others. It-s a wonderful product that has given people like myself a brighter outlook on things. It-s really a good feeling to be able to walk for a distance without coughing and hacking like before. I sleep much better, I can smell things that wasn-t that obvious before. It-s not a cheap thing, but it-s nothing like these over the counter Bulls#@t rip-off things (gum, patches, lozenges) I think it depends on where you live. If your fortunate to have insurance, they will pay on this product. Side effects,...the only ones I had, were dry mouth and that-s it. But there again everyone is different...Good luck to you!!The easiest way to give up smoking is to convince yourself that the stuff is killing you. It would help if you also found a new partner that doesn-t smoke. I did both and had no trouble quitting a 50 a day habit. That was 25 years ago and I still don-t smoke and never will.My Aunt took it and it worked for her. It took her about 2 weeks before she didn-t crave a cigarrette again, but nonetheless, it worked. At first, you are suppose to continue to smoke, then after about a week you will crave cigs less and less. My Aunt said that she had some crazy dreams and that she had hot flashes. It was costly (like $200.00) but in shceme of things, that is a small price to pay for a longer smoke-free life. Good luck and I applaud your efforts to stop smoking!nicotine is completely out of your system in 3 days. get the flu. you-ll be too sick to smoke for 3 days, and you-ll be completely unaddicted when you get out of bed.send me all your money. the above advice is equal to the cost of a pack of cigarettes every day for a decade OR the cost of a doctors appointment, copay for a drug, and medical consequences of western medicine combined.It-s expensive, but our ins. covered it. STill cheaper than smoking! I think it was $130 for a month? (let-s see -= hubby smoked an ave. of 2 packs a day, at almost $5 a pack, for 1 month = $300!)
Hubby used it, and in a week was down from 2 or 2 1/2 packs a day to half a pack a day! It was awesome.
He quit taking it tho k- HE said it gave him crazy dreams and messed with his sleep patterns, but I think he just wasn-t ready to quit, becuase he said there was nothing else bothering him about it.
So, works - yes, cost - $130 a month?, side effects - disrupted sleep and wierd dreamsDO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!! I have heard about people having horrible nightmares and sometimes hallucinations while awake. I know that if you want to quit smoking it seems like this is a great way to do it, and what-s a few bad dreams, but people have been having VERY VIVID graphic, scary nightmares. there was a story in people magazine a few weeks ago about this drug. Research it A LOT before you do it!!!MY MOM WAS ON IT!! She-s used every kind of thing to get of smoking, but only Chantrix stopped it. Eh i dont know the cost.. I think $100 but it-s sooo worth it. The side effects were nausia and dizzeness..Thats about it. I recomend it !
Best wishes:]Get hypnosis and quit cold turkey....now that works!!used it, loved it!!! it worked great for me. I didn-t even like the taste and did not get satisfied from smoking. My insurance paid for mine, about $20 for 4 weeks, used 12 weeks. The only side effect that I noticed at first was having a little trouble sleeping. it soon got better.only willpower will work.as for chantrix look up robbin- chancer.
