I decided to stop smoking pot, but now Im having trouble sleeping? -

I haven-t smoked in 5 days, and have been smoking almost everyday for about 4 years, I am just not that interested in it anymore, but now I can-t sleep...what should I do?Good for you ..thats nasty stuff!
I would recommend some aroma therapy (lavender is very soothing)
Check out some simple meditations to clear your mind
Do not drink caffeine after lunch ..or there abouts
Get some more exercise
and last but not least (well in my book) a good orgasm usually has me sleeping like a baby in no time ..hope that helps :) good luck !

Also ..just for the short term since your so newly quit you might try some Tylenol pm or something like that ..they do help and arent too addictive short term ..better than the pot for sure!It-s a withdrawal symptom, comparable to what occurs when people quit tobacco smoking.

Given pot stays in your system longer than nicotine, you may have to deal with things like insomnia longer than a normal smoker, even if you probably don-t have the same cravings they would.

Over the counter sleeping pills might be of assistance, or you could probably get a prescription for it if it-s unusually bad.

If you are able to get on some form of exercise routine (even just walking regularly) and can eat healthily, you should be more likely to sleep better. At least with nicotine, many also find aid from a multivitamin and/or B-complex vitamin. The exercise is often key.The best thing is to just give it time. I recently quit for a month and at first sleeping was extremely hard. I have a tough time sleeping anyways (it-s 2:41 right now), but if you only stopped smoking 5 days ago your sleeping habits should go back to normal soon. When I stopped it was about 3 days till I started eating normal again. Just give it time, it-s nothing to go see a doctor about.

Sometimes I have trouble sleeping because I have a lot of stuff on my mind, and I have a really tough time emptying my mind. In this case pot doesn-t even help me sleep, because the things on my mind burn deeper. So just try to get back to your normal sleeping patterns, it will happen in a few days.Try another form of relaxation...take a walk after dinner, or if it helps have a glass of alcohol (but dont become an alcoholic lol)
If you read, get some new books and go to bed and read before you go to sleep, or just have some quiet time and listen to relaxing music before you go to sleep. Try a hot drink of cocoa or tea...or have a hot shower/bath before bed time to help u unwind. It will get easier, its just a case of finding another way to get you to relax so you can sleep.Take your meal regularly and dont rest keep busy in your routine activites, , sleep cant evade you for long. Good, keep it up.Go to the doctor and tell him or her the exact same thing and he will give you something like Xanax. It will be confidential.Start smoking pot

My doctor has put me on steroids for bronchitis, how do i stop smoking?? -

iv tried stopping smoking many times before i am weak willed. the doc says i will get copdSome of it is will power, but most of it is a gift. I finally realized that it was gift not to have to smoke anymore, an enlightenment and a blessing and powerful.
-Smoking cessation (commonly known as quitting, or kicking the habit) is the effort to stop smoking tobacco products. Nicotine is a psychologically and physically addictive substance although the physical dependency is relatively minor compared to the psychological dependency. Although quitting smoking is commonly considered to be difficult, for some it is very easy, once they have made the decision to stop. Psychological and pharmacological aids are available to help people quit smoking, although success rates vary considerably. Approximately 3% of smokers succeed using will power alone and it has been asserted that Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) will double this rate to approximately 6%. However, much more successful are programs that address the phychological dependency because it is the smoker-s psychologically driven feeling of deprivation, that is responsible for manifesting a wide range of other so-called -physical withdrawal symptoms-. The physical withdrawal from nicotine is in fact very minor and consists of a slight feeling of insecurity, almost identical to the feeling of being hungry. It is this physical feeling which triggers the psychological feeling of needing or wanting a cigarette.-

As part of the wider tobacco control movement, there have been numerous advertising campaigns, smoking restriction policies, tobacco taxes, and other strategies to encourage people to quit smoking. These campaigns certainly prompt smokers to attempt cessation but there is little evidence to suggest they actually help smokers to achieve permanent cessation. Tobacco use is one of the major causes of death worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.[1]Try Zyban and/or a nicotine patch.
If you are on steroids for bronchitis you have a problem. You-d better listen to your doctor.
A very good friend of mine continued to smoke even though she had chronic bronchitis. She is now fatally ill with COPD and pulmonary fibrosis (her lungs are hardening) and she is only 44 years old. She may live another year or two. A simple cold could kill her. My heart is breaking because she is so important to me, I love her dearly and I will lose her soon. She has 2 young adult children who will be devistated at the loss of their Mom.
If you won-t quit for yourself, do it for the people who love you.
I smoked for 35 years and quit 5 years ago. It wasn-t as hard to quit as I thought it would be. I found anticipating quitting was worse than the actual quitting.
I wanted to live to see my first grandchild and I couldn-t bear the thought of my son and daughter standing by my hospital bed watching me gasp for breath and not even be able to tell them how much I love them.Normally I tell people that you must truly want to quit smoking in order to accomplish this goal. But seeing as you NEED to quit, but admit that you don-t have the will power, just go and try all the products out there. Something is bound to work.

If worst comes to worst, try hypnosis. I hear this works like a dream!

Best of luck!First thing is you have to be willing and make up your mind to do it. Second is check with your doctor I have heard great things from family and friends about Chantix. Good luck it is worth it.

Can quitting smoking affect your menstrual cycle? -

I stopped smoking about a month ago. I also have been working out about 3-4 times a week. Can this severely affect my menstrual cycle?

I-m on the IUD - normally it comes like clockwork. But for some reason, it-s not here on the usual day. It-s been a week longer than when I normally get it. I honestly don-t believe I-m pregnant - I show none of the symptoms for pregnancy because I-ve been pregnant before.discover below - everything about smoking and menstrual cycle
