and how long were you a smoker?I personally have not tried it, but my ex-mother-in-law did. She had been a smoker for 30+ years before the hypnosis. She stopped for a week after that, completely, before starting up again. So I-d say don-t waste your money.I smoked for 10 years and tried hypnosis and it did not work. Five years later I did Wellbutrin and that worked. I have been smoke free for 5 years (tomorrow ) and sometimes I still miss it, but would never smoke again, because i don-t want to go thru the first 6 weeks of hell again.Try the Rx -Chantix- I know this man that was smoking 3 packs per day and 2 weeks later down to 1/2 pack if that.I heard good things about welbutrin but never heard any good things about hypnosis.
After 10 yrs of smoking i just threw my pack away and bought a pack of Tea Tree Tooth Picks and that worked for me.
GOOD LUCK!my dad did twice. the first time it worked for about ten years but that was because he really wanted to quit. the second time it only worked for a month or so but he didnt want to quit that time. i think its all your state of mind! (he smoked for 30 some years)Has anyonne here used hypnosis to stop smoking? did it work? if so, was it instant? -

It is common to experience more coughing when you first quit smoking as your body tries to rid your lungs of the toxins from the smoke.Yes ... and it can get worse before it gets better. Your lungs are cleaning house. You-ve got a lot of garbage in there and the natural response for you body is to try and cough out the residue.
I worked with a guy who was a 2 pack a day smoker. When he quit, he use to do what we all called a -death cough- because it often sounded like he was about to hock up a lung. It lasted for weeks, but eventually dissipated and stopped. It was awful, but now he-s fine!Yup. Doesn-t happen to everyone, but does happen often enough to be considered a quit smoking symptom.
Great online site for support (and it-s free) www.quitnet.com.Yes because your lungs and respiratory system are working properly again. They are clearing out all the mucus and impurities that are in there. You-ll have a lot of coughing, throat clearing and phlegm--it eventually goes away. Also a lot of nasal drainage is common. I quit 1 year ago (my anniversary was December 31st) and I feel so much better. Is it common when stopping smoking for symptons similar to allergies and bronchitus to appear? -
