I Want My Dad To Stop Smoking !
I know SO many people do it, but i-m learning about it at school and i-m so worried for him, i don-t want him to die. . .
I-ve been throwing away the packets, but i only get a good ear bashing from him. I know its addictive and all, but he doesn-t even want to get off them. Can his life be so torturous that he has has to seek help from CIGARETTES ?
i love him, but obviously he doesnt love me enough to want to see me graduate .. e.g
Gosh i sound like a baby, I-m actually 15 lol . . . but it-s an emotional topic !Begin to see and ask on the internet all the informative flyers about how to stop smoking, ask informations to be sent for him, give your address, or his office address, ask online for they send to him, I did like that with my husband and after a while, so many material that he received he was always asking if I knew who was sending to him, I said that -OF COURSE I DON-T KNOW-, and he stop by himself, alone and our relationship is better then before !i-m in the same boat. i-m 15 too and want my mom to stop, i tell her everything about it cost, health etc. and nothing works, if you find a way let me know. good luckignore itThe person has to want to quit. If he doesn-t want to, all your efforts are useless. About 10 years ago, the news told of a study done in the UK. They found if a person has smoked for 20 years already, much of the damage has been done, and that person quitting will not help them live any longer than if they continue smoking.

Stopped Smoking (not a Q, just advise amp; my story)? -

Hey guys, im on my 5th day of not smoking. I have to say already things smell so different - and good. Also my taste. What amazed me the most is the past 2 days I have had so much energy. Where as before I would never want to get up when my alarm went off in the morning, but now I get up automatically 5 mins before it even goes off! Its like my body is so refreshed.

As i-m to conceive, I recommed anyone out there just just give -stop smoking- a go. Once your past that 1st day you have a day to look back on.
All these tobacco companies, and stop smoking companies put it in your head that your so addicted to it - and they make you believe its hard to stop, and that you will need all these products to help you to stop.
Just have a few minutes of each day and actually realise - -its just a stick-, and tell yourself that your not addicted - its just a habbit. That is all it is, a habbit that people want to make so much money out of. ITS ALL IN THE HEAD.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE XXXI support you!
But the road is not as easy for everybody else though.
My friend said his dad tried stopping it, but after a few days, he became unusually bad tempered--from a soft spoken guy to an a$$-kicking one. Then he started again, because he fears th withdrawal will endanger his son(aka my friend)

On a lighter note, another friend of mine had a dad who stopped--after 20++ years of addiction! He did it--although he said that it is hard--but it is worth it. My uncle stopped after his dad died of smoke-related diseases and he started to felt the effects even though he-s just 35.well its 3 weeks today guys!!! WHOOP!!! I feel i- completely over it!

Congrats, you-ve done really well!

Thanks for the inspiration, I really need to quit smoking but my boyfriend smokes around me all the time and it-s really hard. I tried nicotine replacement but it didn-t work, so now I-m going to give cold turkey a real go.I applaud your success and perserverence and I dont mean to rain on your parade, but......the storm is coming. The days ahead will be the worst. Research and personal accounts pinpoint the time beyond Day 7 as the worst.
I hope that your willpower will see you through.
Good LuckCongratulations, keep it up!!!Well done you!!!thankyou. Im proud of you.well done!. . . i stopped a few years ago and felt much better 4 it within the fist week.habits die hard and i found i had nothing to do with my hands so i went off to the chemist and bought those chubba sugar free lolly pops and hey they actually worked for me and they were inexpensive.within a couple of weeks i left them off and never looked back since .try them and see if they will help you too. . .im sure you wont regret it.and all the best .
