There r many ways.
1. u could just stop cold turkey
2.use the patch or nicorettes or another type gum u like(my mom used Trident)
3.u could wean yourself off n if you want those instructions u can IM me or e mail n i will tell u.
4.find another habit to replace the smoking but make it a good habit u will need to keep your mind busy and your hands.
5.eg:u could go work out, do daily walks.Learn a craft u would enjoy n take a course like flower arranging or knitting crocheting etc.First of all you have to make the decision that smoking cessation is in your best interests then stick to it.
Much of the habit associated with smoking concerns the activity of smoking. How you hold the smoking materials, flip ashes, talk and so forth. My particular demon involved that morning cigarette with a cup of coffee -- my how I loved it.
Then you substitute something else for the activity.
Next you deal with the aspect of physical addiction to nicotine. You can take a substitute which does not compromise your lungs such as the patch or a capsule of nicotinic acid.
When the urges begin -- typically that first day -- you review the reasons why you-re quitting.
Tell yourself how you need to retain as much of that squamous epithelial lining of the lungs as you can and how smoking affects the heart as well. Look up the topics of -cor pulmonale- and -empyema thoracis- and carcinoma of the lung and decide for yourself that this is not the way you wish to end your existence on this Earth.
Think about the impact on your family members and the consequences of -second hand smoke-.
Finally, go for a walk. Indulge yourself with something else that doesn-t involve breathing smoke into your lungs.
If you decide for yourself that smoking is not a good thing for your physical well being and make up your mind to quit -- all else that is required is determination.
When I made the decision I quit cold turkey. The patch helped me somewhat but by and large I lost the crutch after a week and just decided that smoking -wasn-t me.-
Good luck !Eat sunflowerseeds as often as u desire to smoke. You can also eat lime along with its peel. Also get the help of de adiction centres. Good luck. Leave smoking and lead healthy peaceful lifei was a chain smoker , one fine day i woke up and said no smoking from today, and i quit just like that, people say cold turkey , blah blah blah, if u are man enough and have a Mustache to prove that - Just say no- and mean what you say !u can stop smoking if u have will powerIT IS YOUR HABIT
All are not smoking. Only certain people smoke. Like any other habits, with strong determination, you can stop smokingDad useed to smoke and he says the secret to stop smoking is that you have to want to quit. If you want to quitm you cab do it, dad did it cold turkey after proberly 40 years of smoking. How bad do you want to quuit? If bad enough, you can do it. He didn-t use gum or patches either.
Good lucku have actually taken ur forst step to stop smoking, i.e., u have understood the fact and realised tht u have stopped doin so... next u should know to resist urself, i.e, whenever u feel like smoking just tell again and again to urself the reasons as to why u should not smoke! if tht doesnt help then u can make a chart as to how many cigars u used everyday and try to reduce the no of them!
U could also meditate! it might heelp u to keep a clean mindBy not buying cigarettes and by not smoking!Did you try the gum or the patch? You can try one one like this

i need some serious help to stop smoking. I dont want to go to any support groups I want to do it on my own. It is starting to make me sick at my stomach when I smoke is there a cheap way to stop or any advice anyone can give me. I am only 26 years old I would like to live 50 more years.I quit 4 yrs ago. Decided I really wanted to quit, so one day in the gas station instead of buying a pack of smokes for $3.50 I got a pack of Winterfresh gum for 99 cents. When I wanted a smoke I chewed gum. Not nicotine gum cuz that is still giving you the chemical you are trying to break your addiction to. First couple of weeks are rough, but if you really want to quit and can go 3 months, I bet the next time you walk by a smoker and smell how they smell after a cigerette you will be SOOOOO glad you stopped.
Just my personal opinion but using the patch or nicotine gum to stop smoking is like trying to stop using heroin by doing smaller amounts of heroin. Doesn-t help. Best to go ahead and go through the detox and get it out of your system. You will always have times that you crave a cigerette. So you need to REALLY want to quit. Looking at the list of things added to tobacco was a good motivator for me.

when you want a smoke pick one thing on that list and look it up to see what it is and what it is mainly used for. You will be surprised at the stuff in there.See if you can get on the nicotine patch. Though, I would strongly suggest counseling before the patch as I am very homeopathic-minded, see if you can wean yourself off it by using the patch. The only thing is, if you smoke while you-re on the patch, your health could be in jeopardy due to the high content of nicotine with the two together. I would swallow my pride and attend smoking cessation first. You could also get on some sort of prescription pill, but the side effects give people nausea. It really depends on your will. My husband smokes three packs a day, had a heart attack last year and just had a heart attack recently. It-s terrible, but I don-t want to scare you with what I said. All I wish to do is encourage you and let you know that you can do this as long as you place your best effort. I am wishing you all the strength in the world on your journey to smoking cessation and am rooting for you.

Give me some tips or hobbies to stop smoking pleaseeeee
I smoke about 2 packs a day and im 16!! I need to quit to get
in shape fast, so please if you will give me some tips to help
me stop this addiction,.Gauge whether or not it is chemical or habitual. If it is just the mental, -habitual- sort of addiction just find something to replace it like mints or something. Mel Gibson chose dog treats in Lethal Weapon in example. If it is mainly chemical and a physical deal then ration x amount per day. and decrease the amount a little bit per week. Like Week A you smoke 18, Week B 16, ect, ect.I used the patch and it worked really well for me. I was only about a pack a day, but it almost completely curbed my cravings. However, I undertook a pretty significant overall lifestyle change at the same time too, which was key. I stopped going to bars for a few months (probably something you don-t have to worry about) where I-d totally be tempted to smoke, I joined a couple running clubs and started running a few nights a week, joined a gym and changed my eating habits. If you really want to, you can quit. I was pretty much resigned to being a smoker for life because my addiction kept getting the best of me. If I can do it, anyone can. Good luck!!I quit smoking cold turkey at age 18 when I was a freshman in college. I smoked heavily too but realized one day that it sucked- I-d grown up in a smoke infested house so I was used to it until then.
First thing I did was give away my cigarettes and anything else associated with smoking. I told all my smoking friends I was quitting- they were old enough to be supportive but yours may not be. If so, tell them you-re quitting and avoid them if they try to tempt you to restart. I chewed gum until my jaws ached- literally. I avoided social situations where I would want to smoke until I felt I had a handle on it- that was back when everyone smoked in bars, restaurants- yuck- so it was harder to be in a smoke free environment then.
The hardest part was breaking the rituals of smoking- the feeling of knowing what to do with my hands, what to fiddle with when I was hanging out socializing. It was easier to be active or in a place where I couldn-t smoke- like a library, but I got into the habit of folding empty sugar packets into complex shapes, for example- just to keep my hands busy.
I also began to relish the smell of clean hair, skin and clothes. I even learned to love the smell of chlorine on my skin after swimming because those were all smells untainted by smoke.
Hobbies? Well, you say you want to get into shape fast so exercise could easily take the place of smoking- try swimming (smoke and chlorine really are a dreadful combination), biking, dog walking for pay (dogs hate cigarettes unless they-ve been around them a lot), Nia, yoga.... Nia and Yoga both involve positive visualization techniques (assuming you have a good teacher) and gratitude for your body so those could help a lot. If you can-t locate a good teacher, do what exercises you can and incorporate the positive thinking with your exercise.
good luck. You-ll be happy you did it.I try getting my dad off smoking. I usually flush or hide his cigarettes. Have a supporter(i.e. dad, mom, sister, friend). Quit slowly, if you go cold turkey your body will go nuts. You-ll puke, be in a extremely bad mood all the time, and be sick to your stomach. All going cold turkey does is make discourage into trying again. There are many free, non-profit programs out there to get you to stop. They probably can help you the most. Don-t be embarrassed in approaching the programs, your body will thank you. Think about it. Every cigarette takes on average 10 minutes away from your life.try chewing gum, its not good to smoke at all let alone 2packs a day. And you cant quit smoking, you have made it a habbit. so now you have to REPLACE it with a new helthy habbit, like chewing gum, so you replace your bad habbit with a one that dosent hurt you.You have to taper off your smoking habit. Gradually cut back so you are down to 1 pack. You can try nicorette gum for your cravings. Stopping smoking will be the best thing you have done in your life so far.Try

I wont to stop smoking cannabis!!!! plz help? -
hi iv smoked cannabis since i was 14 and now im 23 and really wont to stop smoking it but its very hard, i used to smoke about 4 spliffs a day but i now i smoke 2 a day but i just wont to give it up for good, i no its up to me to stop, but Cos i can always get it i always end up having it, i don-t even really get stoned it just chills me out, and if i don-t have 1 i feel crap and depressed, and then end up smoking 1 and feel happy again, and it upsets me Cos i notice how happy i get when i smoke1. so has eny 1 got eny tips on how to stop and what other side effects are they apart from feeling depressed, i don-t smoke fags or drink just smoke cannabis, eny help would be gratefulStop smoking cannabis if you are fed up with it. Make the decision right now to stop smoking cannabis! Don-t hesitate or delay. The very first thing you must do is decide why you are giving it all up. Are you giving up because someone keeps nagging you to? Are you stopping because your Doctor has told you so? Well, ignore everyone else-s opinions and make up your own mind. You won-t stop if you don-t want to. You will stop if you do want to. It really is that simple. So make the decision.
Set a date to quit smoking marijuana. This is important. Some people might be able to decide straight away, others might need time to digest more information. Whatever you do it, make sure you end up setting a date to quit and stick to it no matter what. Write it out and put it somewhere you will see it often, put it on a yellow sticky note, write it on your computers screen saver, do whatever it takes to remember the date and remember it often. There really isn-t any long term side effects from smoking cannabis that are noticeable at least. The only reason that I can think you-re depressed is that you THINK you-re depressed or just because you prefer everyday life being stoned rather when sober. If you really want to give up, just try cutting down by only smoking on weekends or something.I can see by the spelling that your brain is suffering with the pot. It-s up to you whether you want to stop or not, not us, your the one, like I said with the spelling, that-s hurting. I-d bet your friends that are straight recognize the problem and talk behind your back.Try going to a drug specialistDR.I was addicted to pain-killers for about 14-16 years.Im now on SOBOXONE.Helps me a great deal.Maybe a DR. might give a medication to help relieve your stress during these clean-breaks.Good luck!!!! I hoped I helped in some way.I wont to stop smoking cannabis!!!! plz help? -
How many calories should i limit myself a day to loose weight safely? -
How many calories should i limit myself a day to loose weight safely? -
im 5-5 132 pounds.. i made a deal with my boyfriend that if he stopped smoking that i would loose 5-10 pounds.. he agreed on 10 so i was wondering what is the best possible way for me to do this safely by limiting intake of calories??Here-s my diet and exercise guide for weight loss.
Weight loss is all about this equation: energy taken in-energy used (energy for maintaining weight+energy burned in activity)
The basic equation to approximate maintenance needs is:
Maintenance=body weight in poundsx12
This is an estimate, and you may gain/lose according to difference in metabolism/activity level, weight you have to lose, genetic factors.
Conversion of weights: 300lbs:136kg:21stone or 1stone=14lbs, 1kg=2.2lbs
If you follow the maintenance and still gain/lose adjust by 250-500cals, monitoring weight after a week for reliability. Once you have a reasonable estimate, you want to lose weight healthily, otherwise, besides compromising health, your body realises what’s happening and thinks it’s being starved to death and will resist your efforts by slowing metabolism. When you do eat, it will then use this opportunity to regain as much fat as possible, perhaps more than before. It’s also important to realise most weight loss in the first week is mainly water, which easily comes back when eating normalises, as water is stored in the body with energy stores.
The guideline for healthy loss, is 1-2lbs a week. This correlates to 3500-7000cals per week, or 500-1000cals less per day than maintenance.
Example: 200lbs person, maintenance= 200x12=2400cals a day
2lbs loss a week=7000cals a week or 1000cals less a day
2400-1000= 1400cals a day produces 2lbs a week loss.
When weight loss stops, you can increase activity and/or decrease cals further by 250-500cals per day.
Diet wise, fruits, veg, grains, brown bread and wholewheat pasta, good fats from extra virgin olive oil, oily fish like salmon, mackerel, fresh not tinned tuna, kippers. Lean sources protein like skinless poultry, lean cuts red meat, eggs, skim milk. At least 2litres or 8pints of water daily is recommended, more if exercising/in hot weather. You’ll need to look at everything you eat, not just the writing advertising the product, but the real information they hide on the back with the calories, carbs, protein, fat and salt. Eventually, you’ll get an idea for the energy in foods, and you won’t always need to check. One thing to watch out for considering salt intake should be under5g, 1g sodium is 3-4g salt. Most of us eat 6-15g or more salt a day, the only way to cut this enough is to stop eating the premade, prepackaged ready meals and sauces.
Exercise wise, gym training with weights is very beneficial bringing many more health improvements beyond cardio. Resistance training means you don’t just shrink from a pear/apple shape to a smaller pear/apple, but you actually shape your body at the same time. You won’t bulk up or become huge, the freaks you see take drugs and have done it for decades. Men have the advantage of testosterone but they still have to work for it, women build muscle much less because they have much smaller amounts of testosterone (except for the ones taking drugs). Resistance training strengthens immune system, boosts metabolism better than cardio (3days vs 30mins-1hr), boosts metabolism longterm and while asleep due to better active tissue in the body, improves circulation, lowers blood pressure, improves digestion, and the list goes on. Cardio is also fine every now and then. Running/jogging on a treadmill is the quickest and easiest way to burn energy as you use bodyweight for resistance, and the treadmill is better on the knees than the ground. I recommend joining a website forum for fitness/training/bodybuilding/powerlifti… you don’t need to be or want to be a bodybuilder/powerlifter or a pro althlete, but you will need to follow similar diets and exercise plans to achieve good results, and the members have years of experience, offering great advice with nutrition plans and exercise routines. Aim your goals high and you’ll achieve the results you’re after that much sooner. In order to lose a pound you need to burn 3500 calories. Ideally you would want to burn an excess 500 calories a day to be able to lose a pound a week (which would be a healthy time frame to do it in). I would suggest taking in at least 1250 calories a day, add some activities to your daily routine to burn the extra 500 calories and the weight should start to come off without a problem! Good Luck!Do NOT go below 1200 calories a day. This will make you gain weight instead and is very unhealthy!!How many calories should i limit myself a day to loose weight safely? -
